ANGOLA :AFRICA’S RICHEST WOMAN TARGETED BY JUSTICE

The richest woman in Africa Isabelle Dos Santos and her husband Sindika Dokolo has been accused of corruption by the government of her country. Isabel whose father Jose Eduardo Dos Santos has been Angola’s President for 38 years is accused of having embezzled more than one billion dollars of public funds from reports produce by the international consortium investigation journalists published Sunday 19 January 2020. Isabelle Dos Santos reacting to this says it is a “piece of lie”.
Dos Santos together with her husband D R Congo born Sindoka Dokolo was accused late December 2019 by a Luanda court (Angola) of haven siphoned the funds when Isabelle was board chair of the country’s petroleum production company SONANGOL. The court gave an injunction to freeze their accounts.
The document produced by the journalist reviles with proofs that the couple had shares in more than 400 companies found in 41 countries of which more than half are in Angola or in Portugal. The couple points fingers at the new regime of João Lourenço now in the country to have engaged in a witch hunt.
