Panic stroke the whole of the towns of Limbe and Buea in the South West Region yesterday morning 27th of October as a rumor came down saying that the Government Technical High School Ombe has been attacked and two students have been killed. This false news caused parents to rush from all direction to the various schools around to pick their children. In the heart of the panic, some student who tried to run out of the schools by jumping from the story building were injured. This news had an effect on the population because it was just two day after the bloody attack on the Mother Fransica International Bilingual Secondary School in Kumba that claimed the lives of 7 children.

However, talking to the principal of the Government Technical High School Mrs. Mukoto Mewano Elizabeth Mbone said that there was no killing in her school and that classes were going on normally. But in the air there is still fright and pains in the air after the barbaric act in Kumba 24th October 2020. This explains why women in their numbers dressed in black marched in the Senior Divisional Officer’s office in the Kumba and in the governor’s office in Bamenda yesterday, all of them crying in loud voices “we want peace, we want peace”.

In the other hand a delegation of three government ministers  Nalova Lionga of secondary education, Etoundi Ngoa of Basic educations and Atanga Nji of the territorial administration were in Kumba yesterday to bring the sympathy of the government to the bereaved families and the bereaved population. The ministers of basic and secondary education encouraged the parents to continue sending their children to school. Paul Atanga Nji the Minister of Territorial administration told the population the war against terrorism has been worn by President Paul Biya.
