The former national airline company Cameroon Airline boss has just been evacuated to Morocco for medical attention. It has been rumored for a couple of days now that he was sick in his Kondengui maximum prison cell. Jeune Afrique newspaper announced in an article in it Tuesday, July 30, 2019 weekly edition reserved for its special subscribers that the evacuation was ordered at the helm of the state.
It should be recalled that for nine years now the 59 years old business magnet has been imprisoned in Yaoundé for embezzlement of public funds. In 2012, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison in the case file concerning the purchase of the Head of State’s aeroplane. And then, in 2016, Yves Michel Fotso is sentenced for the second time to life imprisonment for a corruption case while he was managing Cameroon Airline between 2000 and 2003.
But each time, the son of multimillionaire Victor Fotso, claimed his innocence.
