The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon yesterday afternoon won the Shepolopolos of Zambia by 3 goals to 2 in the day – 5 qualifying match for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The girls of Coach Alain Njeumfa dug from their extra energy to win a match that was almost ending in a draw, which could have been a good business fir the visiting side. The 3rd goal for the Lions was scored in the injury time.
The goals for the Cameroon team were scored by Nchute Njoya Ajara and captain Aboudi Onguene who had a brace and for the Zambian side was scored by their team captain who also scored two goals. Coach Alain Njeumfa said the match was not an easy one. He admitted that the Zambian girls were very fast up front, that is why they could score their two goal. But he promise to look for the solution to that problem before the second leg match come 10th of Match 2020 in Lusaka, Zambia.
