KID MANIPULATING GRENADE KILL 11 INJURING 26

Report coming from Fotocol in the Extreme North of Cameroon says that a young boy who manipulated a grenade he found in a rubbish dump exploded killing 11 persons and wounding 26. The adolescent work was to pick irons scraps which he sold in kilos to Nigerian traders who came around as they live in the frontier of Cameroon and Nigeria in the North.

That Monday 6 January 2020 the teenager on looking for his iron scraps as usual carried the military equipment unknowingly and put in his bag. It was while in his bag as he was standing on a bridge the linked Cameroon and Nigeria, precisely on the Nigerian side, near a spontaneous market that serves the two nations that the blast went, killing 11 passersby on the bridge among whom were 5 Cameroonians and injuring 26 other persons who are presently following treatment in the hospital.

This area has been noted for its hostile atmosphere with frequent attacks and killings of Boko Haram. Just like it was the case this night the Kanda waziri village in the kolofat District in the Extreme North of Cameroon. Two youths where reportedly shot at pointblank by a Boko Haram fighter. The environment had had relative calm lately, but at the look of things the calm will be short leave if we consider sources coming from the vigilante which state that from the 1^st to the 6^th of January 2020, 13 persons have already been killed.
