
NIGERIA, VISA ON ARRIVAL FOR ALL AFRICAN CITIZENS

Nigerian President MUHAMADU BUHARI has announced that citizens from all African countries do not need a visa anymore to enter his country. The announcement was made in Egypt at the Aswan Forum designed to set “An Agenda for Sustainable Peace and Development in Africa.”
Reacting to the decision on December 11, 2019, Somalian Minister, Ambassador Ahmed Awad commended Buhari for what he described as an exemplary decision. He tweeted “I wish to profoundly commend President Muhamadu Buhari of Nigeria who just announced at the Aswan Forum complete visa exemption for all Africans. Starting January 2020, Africans will be able to arrive in Nigeria without visas”.“It’s such an exemplary decision. Thanks your Excellency.”
The president of the largest economy in Africa takes this major to enhance effective regional integration. If other Africa country could follow suite, the dream of the founding fathers in the like of Kwame Nkuma, Julius Nierere, Ahmed Sekou Toure, Thomas Sankara, Mohamar Kadafi to see Africa unite will come true.
