R. Kelly assaulted in prison by fellow inmate

A few days ago, American pop star R. Kelly was assaulted by a fellow inmate at Chicago’s federal prison, (the Metropolitan Correctional Center) where he is incarcerated. An assault whose sordid details his lawyer reveals in his petition to the Court for bail.

For more than a year, Mr. Robert Sylvester Kelly has been awaiting his trial but the said trial is slow to start because of the health crisis caused by the coronavis pandemic. He is being prosecuted for sexual assaults on minors in Chicago and Minnesota. In New York, the singer was accused of corruption in connection with his marriage to Aaliyah.

However R Kelly who has been very patient in prison for more than a year now was attacked by fellow inmate a few days ago. It is important to note that the rapper’s incarceration has somewhat changed the daily life of the penitentiary. Protests against R. Kelly at the foot of the prison have forced staff to take security and disciplinary measures such as solitary confinement or bans on parlous, which is enough to off the inmates. One of them went after R. Kelly and allegedly wanted to stab the rapper in bed with a pen.
