TEACHER RAPES 18 OF HIS PUPILS

As school reopens for the 2^nd term of the 2019-2020 school year in Cameroon yesterday, a class 6 teacher in a primary school in Bonambaume Bonaberi was accused to have raped 18 of his pupils age between 10 and 14 years. The Ndobo research unit of gendarmeries in Bonaberi were informed of the issue and they went for the said teacher , Mr Mbouma Keven, who did not come to school that first day. He was picked up in his house and taken to custody for interrogation where he pleaded guilty for the said accusations. He said he was driven by a strange force that he could not control.

“To do the act, Mr Mbouma, since he often stays behind with the pupils after school to give them extra classes, this gave him the opportunity to touch their breasts and the genitals” Said the Headmistress of the School. “It was when we decided to teach sex education to the children telling them that, should anybody touch their genitals they should come to the office and report, that is when the children started speaking out” she continued. “We think that if parents were friends to their children and though them sex education at home, such a situation would never had gone unnoticed. Mr Mbouma Keven the rapist made the children swear by the bible that should they speak out they will die. so caught by fear they never said anything to anyone till that day. “We will make sure that he rots in jail” the Headmistress of the school insisted. Mbouma Keven is a married man from Wum in the Northwest Region of Cameroon and a father of 3 kids.

The parents of the said pupils were asked to take their children for medical checkup. While waiting for further investigations concerning the issue, the man was locked up in the Ndobo gendarmerie cell while further investigations go on.
